One day National Workshop with local representatives of seven municipalities

One day National Workshop with local representatives of seven municipalities (Tikapur, Birendranagar, Tansen, Waling, Bhimeshwor, Mithila and Damak) was held on 25 February 2022. The information officer and Journalist of 7 municipalities were invited for the program. There was an active representation of members from Parliament, journalists, other representatives from government officials, development partners, and community radio volunteers were present during the program.

The program was focused on various aspects of local government functioning and the best practices in their local area, functions of municipalities on planning and budgeting process. The best practices of the municipalities and the challenges of local government with federal and provincial government, were covered in the programs. A paper presentation was done by the local government expert highlighting the progress of the municipalities till date and things that can be improved in upcoming days.
