ACORAB conducted a three days residential “Accounting and Financial Management System AND Broadcast Technical Training” for enhance capacity of Accountants and Technicians from new member radio stations all over Nepal. The training was organized in Chitwan, Sauraha from 16 to 18 December 2011.
Altogether 30 participants from 30 community radio stations across the country participated in the training. Out of 30 participants 9 were females. Accounting and Financial Management System training focused primarily on brief introduction and importance of financial management likewise session on book keeping, preparing financial statement, audit reports, importance and use of tax and so forth was delivered. The trainer Mr. Nirmal Bartaula interacted with the participants and helped them in solving their financial problems that frequently occurs in the radio. Also, Ms.Nrijana Pakhrin Senior Admin/Finance officers of ACORAB explained about financial system and requirements of ACORAB.
Similarly, in Broadcast Technical Training altogether 24 participants from 23 community radio stations across the country participated in the program. The training covered topics related to Sound, Studio Equipment, Studio Wiring, FM Transmitter, Earthing and Electrical Measurement. The training was focused more to theoretical as of short time period. ACORAB Technical Officer Radeep Maharjan and Technical Assistant Dawa Lama facilitated the training. At the end of the training, participants made a commitment to share their knowledge with their colleagues upon their return to their station and try to improve quality of sound at their station.
