"Maternal and Child Health on Post 2015 Development Framework" training was jointly organized by ACORAB Nepal and World Vision International Nepal on February 15-17 in Sauraha Chitwan. Total 23 radio journalists from Achham, Kailali, Kapalvastu, Rupandehi, Chitwan, Morang, Suensari, Udaypur, Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Dhading, Gorkha, Tanahun and Parsa have participated in the training. Public health reporting format, Post 2015 health issues and concern about the communities, Maternal and Child health, frequency of the health issues in media as news and other programs of community radios have discussed. Linking the community issues with CIN is elaborated and shared.
The requirements of the government provisions for radio reporting was highlighted by Chitwan DHO. Post 2015 health issues and community concerns shared to broaden the participants understanding about the concern and issues on health. The training has become able to develop the new skill on maternal reporting. The frequency of maternal health related news and views broadcast from the community radios analyzed for logical conclusion. All the participants were encourage to prepare the field based report and send to CIN for central rely all over the country. Participants expressed the satisfaction and commitment to prepare the report and send to CIN. Soham Subedi and Deepak Acharya facilitated the program and Mr. Puskar Khati and Archana Rai shared the world vision initiative in this issue. The general secretary of ACORAB Mr. Govinda Devkota and Central member Mr. Dinesh Thapaliya participated in inaugural and closing sessions of the programs.
